Meet Lynn Ramsson
M.A, M.Ed/Ed.S, MBACP (Accred)
Lynn is an integrative psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner and clinical supervisor who offers a warm, supportive space for adults who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or affected by past experiences. She works with people seeking greater understanding, emotional clarity, and meaningful change.
Lynn’s approach is grounded in the humanistic tradition, which holds a deep belief in each person’s capacity for growth and healing. Lynn believes that past experiences can shape the present, and that when the past is explored with care and compassion, new possibilities for the future can emerge.
Lynn offers a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space where you can talk openly about whatever may be weighing on you. She supports clients to explore current concerns, relationships past and present, and their sense of self, helping what feels confusing or painful become clearer and more manageable.
As a woman of mixed race, Lynn brings an awareness of how culture, identity, and experiences of difference can shape how people see themselves and the world. As a writer and former English teacher, she is also attentive to language and to the stories people tell to make sense of their lives.
Lynn holds a Master’s and an Education Specialist degree in Counselling, as well as a Master’s degree in Literature. She is trained in EMDR Parts I-II-III with EMDR Nexus. She is a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, which means she abides by their ethical guidelines. Her private practice is based at the Engineerium in Hove, and she also practices at Brighton Therapy Centre in North Laine and Phoenix Therapy Practice near St. Ann’s Well in Hove.
